My Projects
Home Lab
I’ve built a custom server that runs TrueNAS, offering robust RAID storage and enhanced performance with a graphics card. This setup is optimized for running AI tasks, including hosting large language models (LLMs) locally. To maintain flexibility and efficiency, I leverage Docker containers to manage all services seamlessly.
In addition, a separate machine is dedicated to hosting a Home Assistant server. This system is configured to assist my wife and me with daily tasks both inside and outside the house, making our routines smoother and more efficient.
IoT Devices
Throughout the house, I’ve deployed custom-built IoT devices using esphome and WLED. These devices are tailored to provide personalized solutions for our needs, from lighting control to environmental monitoring. Each device integrates seamlessly into our home automation system. This an example of a eInk display with a custom firmware and a custom 3D printed housing.

eInk is awesome, displaying the last rendered page without any power!
Wife-Approved Automation
One of my favorite projects is an automation in Home Assistant that ensures we never forget where we parked our cars. The system automatically tracks the parking location of both our cars, regardless of who used them last. It creates a map with the last known locations.
"It works perfectly... as long as the GPS isn’t jammed again!"
